The Garga-samhita Verse 1.11.65, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 11 (Description of Shri Krishnacandra’s Birth) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

श्री-नारद उवाच
इत्थं कंसस् तद्-अङ्घ्र्योश् च
पतितो ऽश्रु-मुखो रुदन्
चकार सेवां परमां
सौहृदं दर्शयंस् तयोः

śrī-nārada uvāca
itthaṃ kaṃsas tad-aṅghryoś ca
patito 'śru-mukho rudan
cakāra sevāṃ paramāṃ
sauhṛdaṃ darśayaṃs tayoḥ

śrī-nāradaḥ uvāca—Śrī Nārada said; ittham—in this way; kaṃsaḥKaṃsa; tad-aṅghryoḥ—at his feet; ca—also; patitaḥ—fallen; aśrutears; mukhaḥ—face; rudan—weeping; cakāradid; sevām—service; paramām—great; sauhṛdam—friendship; darśayaṃḥ—showing; tayoḥ—to them.

English translation of verse 1.11.65:

Śrī Nārada said: Weeping, and his face covered with tears, Kaṃsa fell at their feet. He rendered great service to them and he showed friendship to them.
