The Garga-samhita Verse 1.9.14, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 9 (Description of Vasudeva’s Wedding) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

कुसङ्ग-निष्ठो ऽति-खलो हि कंसो
हन्तुं स्वसारं धिषणं चकार
कचे गृहित्वा सित-खड्ग-पाणिर्
गत-त्रपो निर्दय उग्र-कर्मा

kusaṅga-niṣṭho 'ti-khalo hi kaṃso
hantuṃ svasāraṃ dhiṣaṇaṃ cakāra
kace gṛhitvā sita-khaḍga-pāṇir
gata-trapo nirdaya ugra-karmā

ku-saṅga-niṣṭhaḥwhose friends were demons; ati-khalaḥvery wicked; hi—indeed; kaṃsaḥKaṃsa; hantum—to kill; svasāram—his sister; dhiṣaṇam—the ground; cakāradid; kace—by the hair; gṛhitvā—grabbing; sitasharp; khaḍgasword; pāṇiḥ—in his hand; gata-trapaḥ—shameless; nirdayaḥ—merciless; ugrahorrible; karmā—deeds.

English translation of verse 1.9.14:

Wicked, shameless, merciless Kaṃsa, whose friends were demons and whose deeds were horrible, threw his sister to the ground, grabbed her by the hair, and grasped a sharp sword in his hand to kill her.
