कूटं समागतं कंसो
गृहीत्वा पादयोश् च तम्
पातयित्वा भूमि-मध्ये
चीक्षेप गगने बलात्
kūṭaṃ samāgataṃ kaṃso
gṛhītvā pādayoś ca tam
pātayitvā bhūmi-madhye
cīkṣepa gagane balāt
kūṭam—Kūṭa; samāgatam—come; kaṃsaḥ—Kaṃsa; gṛhītvā—grabbed; pādayoḥ—feet; ca—and; tam—him; pātayitvā—throwing; bhūmi-madhye—on the ground; cīkṣepa—threw; gagane—in the sky; balāt—violently.
English translation of verse 1.6.22:
When Kūṭa rushed at him, Kaṃsa knowcked him to the ground, grabbed his feet, and violently threw him into the sky.
