The Garga-samhita Verse 1.5.31, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 5 (The Lord’s Appearance) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

इत्थं यदोः कौरवाणाम्
अन्येषां भू-भुजां नृणाम्
कुले कुले भवन्तश् च
स्वांशैः स्त्रिभिर् मद्-आज्ञया

itthaṃ yadoḥ kauravāṇām
anyeṣāṃ bhū-bhujāṃ nṛṇām
kule kule bhavantaś ca
svāṃśaiḥ stribhir mad-ājñayā

ittham—thus; yadoḥ—of the Yadus; kauravāṇām—of the Kurus; anyeṣām—of others; bhū-bhujām—kings; nṛṇām—human; kule kule—in family after family;

English translation of verse 1.5.31:

bhavantaḥ—being; ca—also; sva—own; aṃśaiḥ—partial expansions; stribhiḥ—

with their wives; mat—of Me; ājñayā—by the order.

In this way, by My order (the demigods) and their wives will take birth in the families of the Yadus, Kurus, and other human kings.
