कश्यपो वसुदेवश् च
देवकी चादितिः परा
शूरः प्राणो ध्रुवः सो ऽपि
kaśyapo vasudevaś ca
devakī cāditiḥ parā
śūraḥ prāṇo dhruvaḥ so 'pi
देवको ऽवतरिष्यति
devako 'vatariṣyati
kaśyapaḥ—Kaśyapa; vasudevaḥ—Vasudeva; ca—and; devakī—Devakī; ca—also;
English translation of verse 1.5.23:
āditiḥ—Aditi; parā—great; śūraḥ—Śūrasena; prāṇaḥ—life; dhruvaḥ—Dhruva;
saḥ—he; api—indeed; devakaḥ—Deavaka; avatariṣyati—will descend.
Kaśyapa will descend as Vasudeva, exalted Aditi as Devakī, Prāṇa Vasu as Śūrasena, and Dhruva Vasu as Devaka.
