The Garga-samhita Verse 1.5.23, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 5 (The Lord’s Appearance) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

कश्यपो वसुदेवश् च
देवकी चादितिः परा
शूरः प्राणो ध्रुवः सो ऽपि

kaśyapo vasudevaś ca
devakī cāditiḥ parā
śūraḥ prāṇo dhruvaḥ so 'pi

देवको ऽवतरिष्यति

devako 'vatariṣyati

English translation of verse 1.5.23:

āditiḥ—Aditi; parā—great; śūraḥ—Śūrasena; prāṇaḥ—life; dhruvaḥDhruva;

saḥ—he; api—indeed; devakaḥ—Deavaka; avatariṣyati—will descend.

Kaśyapa will descend as Vasudeva, exalted Aditi as Devakī, Prāṇa Vasu as Śūrasena, and Dhruva Vasu as Devaka.
