क्षेपधीस्तवन (?) गौरि तत्कृता विश्वराशि (?ज्ञि) कुरु सर्वमीप्सितम् ।
केवलं मम पुनस्तदीप्सितं सर्वतस्तव मदीक्षणं शिवे ॥
येन खेलनसरोहणार्णवः शश्वदाविशति येन मां शिवः ॥ ३११ ॥

kṣepadhīstavana (?) gauri tatkṛtā viśvarāśi (?jñi) kuru sarvamīpsitam |
kevalaṃ mama punastadīpsitaṃ sarvatastava madīkṣaṇaṃ śive ||
yena khelanasarohaṇārṇavaḥ śaśvadāviśati yena māṃ śivaḥ || 311 ||

Kala is the name obtained from Kalana, which relates to the five modes of absolute dynamism.

Kalana is Kṣepa (Projection)- Śakti as manifestive force by her own Sovereign power radiates the universe engraved in herself as projection on the Wall of her own self.

Kalana is Jñāna (Knowledge); The knowledge of the Self (Śiva) and the radiated universe being non-different. Kṣepa and Dhi cause all the activities of the manifestation.

Kalana as Saṅkhyāna, Gati and Nāda are aspects relating to the modes operating after the empirical manifestation.

Kālidasa has vouched that he has dealt with the first two aspects[1] only in his work [Cidgaganacandrikā] He dedicates the completion of this work as Devi’s grace. She is the Queen who causes the creation, Sustenance and Annihilation of the universe. Kālidāsa pleads with Devi, to take due care of himself and lead him to Śiva pada. The process involves rising and falling efforts and the grace of Śakti is needed in each and every fall, till the sādhaka attains the Śiva state.
