The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.26.172, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 172 of Madhya-khanda chapter 26—“Descriptions of the Mercy Bestowed on Shuklambara and Vijay and the Lord’s Desire to Accept Sannyasa”.

শিখা-সুত্র ঘুচাইলেই সে কৃষ্ণ পাই গৃহস্থ তোমার মতে বৈষ্ণব কি নাই? ॥ ১৭২ ॥

शिखा-सुत्र घुचाइलेइ से कृष्ण पाइ गृहस्थ तोमार मते वैष्णव कि नाइ? ॥ १७२ ॥

śikhā-sutra ghucāilei se kṛṣṇa pāi gṛhastha tomāra mate vaiṣṇava ki nāi? || 172 ||

sikha-sutra ghucailei se krsna pai grhastha tomara mate vaisnava ki nai? (172)

English translation:

(172) “Are You saying that a gṛhastha cannot be a Vaiṣṇava and that one attains Kṛṣṇa by giving up his śikhā and brāhmaṇa thread?
