The Chaitanya Bhagavata 2.23.447, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 447 of Madhya-khanda chapter 23—“Wandering about Navadvipa On the Day the Lord Delivered the Kazi”.

Bengali text, Devanagari and Unicode transliteration of verse 2.23.447:

ইন্ থে পদ্ম পুরাণ, আদি-খণ্ড (৩১.১১২) ইত্ ইস্ স্ততেদ্: প্রার্থযেদ্ বৈষ্ণবস্যান্নং প্রযত্নেন বিচক্ষণঃ সর্ব-পাপ বিশুদ্ধ্য্ অর্থং তদ্ অভাবে জলং পিবেত্ ॥ ৪৪৭ ॥

इन् थे पद्म पुराण, आदि-खण्ड (३१.११२) इत् इस् स्ततेद्: प्रार्थयेद् वैष्णवस्यान्नं प्रयत्नेन विचक्षणः सर्व-पाप विशुद्ध्य् अर्थं तद् अभावे जलं पिबेत् ॥ ४४७ ॥

In the Padma Purāṇa, Ādi-khaṇḍa (31.112) it is stated: prārthayed vaiṣṇavasyānnaṃ prayatnena vicakṣaṇaḥ sarva-pāpa viśuddhy arthaṃ tad abhāve jalaṃ pibet || 447 ||

In the Padma Purana, Adi-khanda (31.112) it is stated: prarthayed vaisnavasyannam prayatnena vicaksanah sarva-papa visuddhy artham tad abhave jalam pibet (447)

English translation:

(447) “To become freed from all sinful reactions, learned persons should sincerely beg for the Lord’s remnants (foods offered by Vaiṣṇavas) or the Vaiṣṇavas’ remnants. If one is unable to obtain those, he should drink the remnants of a Vaiṣṇava’s water or the water that has washed his feet.”
