The Chaitanya Bhagavata 1.1.23, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 23 of Adi-khanda chapter 1—“Summary of Lord Gaura’s Pastimes”.

দুই-মাস বসন্ত, মাধব-মধু-নামে হলাযুধ-রাস-ক্রীডা কহযে পুরাণে ॥ ২৩ ॥
दुइ-मास वसन्त, माधव-मधु-नामे हलायुध-रास-क्रीडा कहये पुराणे ॥ २३ ॥
dui-māsa vasanta, mādhava-madhu-nāme halāyudha-rāsa-krīḍā kahaye purāṇe || 23 ||

English translation:
(23) The Purāṇas describe how Lord Balarāma performs His rāsa-līlā in the two months of spring—Mādhava and Madhu.
Commentary: Gauḍīya-bhāṣya by Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura:
According to Śrīdhara Svāmī’s commentary, the word madhu in this verse means Caitra (March-April) and mādhava means Vaiśākha (April- May). Halāyudha refers to Balarāma, and purāṇe means in the Śrīmad Bhāgavatam and in the Viṣṇu Purāṇa (5.24.21 and 5.25.18).
