The Bhajana-rahasya Text 39, English translation, including commentary (vritti). The Bhajana-rahasya is a compilation of verses describing the mercy of the eight pairs of names (Yugala-nama) of the Maha-mantra. This is text 39 belonging to the chapter “Dvitiya-yama-sadhana (Pratah-kaliya-bhajana)” representing the first six dandas of the morning: approximately 6.00 a.m.–8.30 a.m.

Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam (7.11.32) further states:

वृत्त्या स्व-भाव-कृतया वर्तमानः स्व-कर्म-कृत्
हित्वा स्व-भाव-जं कर्म शनैर् निर्गुणताम् इयात्

vṛttyā sva-bhāva-kṛtayā vartamānaḥ sva-karma-kṛt
hitvā sva-bhāva-jaṃ karma śanair nirguṇatām iyāt

One who maintains his occupational duty (svadharma) by taking shelter of his innate propensity will gradually become detached from these activities and become situated beyond the material modes.

स्वभाव-विहित-वृत्ति करिया आश्रय
निष्पाप जीवने कर कृष्ण-नामाश्रय

svabhāva-vihita-vṛtti kariyā āśraya
niṣpāpa jīvane kara kṛṣṇa-nāmāśraya
