This is a beautiful Vigraha of Selva Vinayakar. He is in Samabhanga posture. He is four handed. His front right and left hands are holding Danta and Modaka respectively and his back right and left hands are holding Pasa and Ankusa respectively.

Kumbakonam is considered as one of the holiest places in Tamil Nadu and is known for its temples and Mathas (monasteries which were centres of Brahmanical learning).
