The Buddha visits Vacchagotta at the Paribbajakarama in Vesali and tells him that he is called Tevijja (knower of the threefold lore) because he has knowledge of his former existences, possesses the divine eye, and has knowledge of the destruction of the asavas. M.i.481ff.
