śabdajāla (शब्दजाल).—n (S) poetice śabdajāḷa n Net of words. A term for language or articulate speech considered as a multitudinous assemblage of words. 2 (Esp. in poetry.) Many and idle words; mere chatter. Ex. mhaṇatī śabdajāḷa ṭākūna || niścaḷa ēkāgra aisijē manēṃ || sarvadā aikāvēṃ kīrttana || tarīñca dhanya saṃsārī ||.
