Source: Pitta Ayurveda: Samanya GunaSamanya Guna means general properties (quality, attribute or talent). The values of samanya guna are applicable only to human beings. It has significant importance in the Hindu philosophy. When we talk of Samanya-guna, it means the common or usual attributes that are found in each and every human being.
There are 10 well known Samanya-guna according to Hindu philosophy. They are
- Parat (Paratva),
- Aparatva,
- Sankhya,
- Yukti,
- Sanyoga,
- Vibhaga,
- Prithaktva,
- Pariman,

Sāmānyaguṇa (सामान्यगुण):—Common property; properties that are common to more than one mahabhuta like guru(heaviness) attributed to Prithvi & Jala mahabhuta.
Āyurveda (आयुर्वेद, ayurveda) is a branch of Indian science dealing with medicine, herbalism, taxology, anatomy, surgery, alchemy and related topics. Traditional practice of Āyurveda in ancient India dates back to at least the first millenium BC. Literature is commonly written in Sanskrit using various poetic metres.

Source: Shodhganga: A study of Nyāya-vaiśeṣika categories (vaisesika)Sāmānyaguṇa (सामान्यगुण) or simply Sāmānya refers to “general qualities” and represents a classification of the twenty-four guṇas (qualities) according to the Dīpikā on Tarkasaṃgraha.—The twenty-four guṇas are divided into sāmānya-guṇas and viśeṣa-guṇas. Sāmānya-guṇas (general qualities) are those which abide in two or more substances. Viśeṣa-guṇas (special qualities) are those which abide in one dravya only and not in two or more substances. Annaṃbhaṭṭa defines viśeṣa-guṇa and sāmānya-guṇa in his Dīpikā on Tarkasaṃgraha. Praśastapāda also mentions about these in his Praśastapādabhāṣya on the Vaiśeṣikadarśanam.
Vaisheshika (वैशेषिक, vaiśeṣika) refers to a school of orthodox Hindu philosophy (astika), drawing its subject-matter from the Upanishads. Vaisheshika deals with subjects such as logic, epistemology, philosophy and expounds concepts similar to Buddhism in nature
