Source: Wikisource: A dictionary of Sanskrit grammarRajatādi (रजतादि).—A class of words headed by the word रजत (rajata) to which the taddhita affix अ (a) (अञ् (añ)) is added in the sense of ' a product ' or 'a part '; e.g. राजतम्, लौहम्, औदुम्बरम् (rājatam, lauham, audumbaram) etc. ; cf. Kas. on P. IV.3.154.
Vyakarana (व्याकरण, vyākaraṇa) refers to Sanskrit grammar and represents one of the six additional sciences (vedanga) to be studied along with the Vedas. Vyakarana concerns itself with the rules of Sanskrit grammar and linguistic analysis in order to establish the correct context of words and sentences.
