A close and continued succession of light noises; a pitter patter of rain, a feeble muttering, a repressed grumbling &c. v yē, jā, kara, uṭha, bōla, paḍa. 2 Used as ad Ex. pāūsa pu0 paḍatō: also imitatively of the sound of a frog &c. leaping. It is often interchangeable with piṭapiṭa.
