One such technology was to increase the size of fruits and flowers as well as to alter the shape of fruits: The objective here is to obtain the same effects as would be achieved by polyploidy. Once again, the use of uncommon raw materials such as ivory powder, sand, ichor (elephant’s rut), hollow tooth of a monkey or a boar, and a hot needle is prescribed.
