Source: DDSA: The Molesworth Marathi and English Dictionarypāyaguṇa (पायगुण).—m Luck; the luck, good or ill, attendant upon a man or beast, and upon those connected with him or it. In this sense there is also hātaguṇa, and the two are slightly distinguished. pāya- guṇa refers to the luck appertaining to the person as coming or present: hātaguṇa to that accompanying the person's service or doing.
