Source: DDSA: The Molesworth Marathi and English Dictionarypāṭavaḍī (पाटवडी).—f (pāṭā & vaḍī) A preparation of gramflour, --a thickish sort of cake with seasoning.

pātavaḍī (पातवडी).—f sometimes pātavaḍa m C (pāta & vaḍī) A wafer-cake (esp. of flour of rice or of jōndhaḷā) seasoned and dried; kept ready to be fried as wanted. 2 A cake of gram-flour spiced and boiled and thickened. 3 A chopped piece of some esculent leaf (as of aḷūṃ Calladium esc.) which, having had pulse-flour and seasoning spread over it, has been rolled and boiled and fried. Note. pātavaḍī has not these three meanings in one and the same part of the country.
