2) To go to (for protection), resort to; seek shelter or patronage with; अशक्ता एव सर्वत्र नरेन्द्रं पर्युपासते (aśaktā eva sarvatra narendraṃ paryupāsate) Pañcatantra (Bombay) 1.241.
3) To enclose, surround.
