Source: Wisdom Library: Raj NighantuPārthivakṣetra (पार्थिवक्षेत्र) or simply Pārthiva refers to “earthen land” and represents one of the five classifications of “land” (kṣetra), as defined in the first chapter (ānūpādi-varga) of the 13th-century Raj Nighantu or Rājanighaṇṭu (an Ayurvedic encyclopedia). The Anūpādi-varga covers some 16 major topics regarding land (e.g., Pārthiva-kṣetra) and vegetations.
