Source: DDSA: The Molesworth Marathi and English Dictionarypāṇapitā (पाणपिता).—a That drinks (much) water;--said of ears of corn spoiled by excessive rain. Hence fig. Watery, weak, washy, silly, vapid;--used of kāra- bhāra-vyavahāra-kāma-gōṣṭa-bhāṣaṇa-masalata &c. 3 (As if one were doing the simple thing of drinking water.) Smart, sharp, prompt--a performance or an act: also saucily sharp or quick--a jāba or uttara.
