Mitrabala (मित्रबल) is a Sanskrit technical term, used in warfare, referring to “force of allies”. It forms a factor of the six-fold force of the King. It is also known as Suhṛdbala. The word is used throughout Dharmaśāstra literature such as the Manusmṛti. (See the Manubhāṣya 7.184-185)
