The singular mēkhāṭī does not occur, and mēkhāṭyā itself occurs mainly in phrases; as mē0 khāndāḍāsa dēṇēṃ To turn away and pack off summarily. mē0 ghēṇēṃ To press (i. e. seize without payment) tent-pegs. mē0 ghēṇēṃ g. of o. To beat, rate, revile, or harass exceedingly. Also other phrases; for all which see the primitive and the common form mēkha.
