2) Maṃda (मंद) [Also spelled mand]:—(a) slow, tardy; mild; dull (as [buddhi]); inert; low (as [svara]); faint, weak, feeble; a Persian suffix meaning having or possessing (as [jarūratamaṃda, gairatamaṃda); ~ka] a moderator; ~[gati] slow, tardy, slow-moving; ~[cārī] slow, sluggish, tardy; ~[cetā/dhī/buddhi/mati] blockheaded, dull, blunt; a dunce; ~[tā] slowness, tardiness: dullardness; ~[buddhitā] feeble mindedness, dullardness; ~[bhāga/bhāgī] unlucky, ill-fated, unfortunate; ~[vīrya] feeble, weak.
3) Maṃdā (मंदा) [Also spelled manda]:—(a) slow; tardy, slack; cheap; (nm) depression.
