She was pious and gave alms to several holy monks, listened to their preaching, and became a sotapanna. After death she was born in a vimana in Tavatimsa and there had a conversation with Moggallana, at the end of which she became a sakadagami. Vv.ii.2; VvA.97f.
Theravāda is a major branch of Buddhism having the the Pali canon (tipitaka) as their canonical literature, which includes the vinaya-pitaka (monastic rules), the sutta-pitaka (Buddhist sermons) and the abhidhamma-pitaka (philosophy and psychology).
