Kumaṇaṉ (குமணன்) noun An ancient chief, who was so liberal as to give away his sword to a needy poet for cutting his head off and taking it over to his brother who had set a price on it; தன்தலையை வெட்டி அதனை விரும்பிய தம்பி கையிற் கொடுத்து வேண்டியபொருளைப் பெறுமாறு தன்னிடம் இரந்த புலவனுக்குத் தன் வாளையீந்த ஒரு பெருவள்ளல்.
