Source: Shodhganga: The significance of the mūla-beras (history)Kadphises is the name of an ancient Kushan prince.—The earliest engraved representations of god (Śiva) seem to be those on the coins of Kadphises (about A.D 80 to 90) where the figure with the trident and the bull certainly prefigure the principal personage in this religion.[251] Then arose the technical development in metal craft which reached a stage of maturity. It is admitted that the ancient iconographical artifacts known of a purely Hindu deity are the coins of Kadphises II.
The history of India traces the identification of countries, villages, towns and other regions of India, as well as mythology, zoology, royal dynasties, rulers, tribes, local festivities and traditions and regional languages. Ancient India enjoyed religious freedom and encourages the path of Dharma, a concept common to Buddhism, Hinduism, and Jainism.
