jivhāḷā (जिव्हाळा).—m (jīva Life, ālaya House.) Spring, source, root, fountain-head, lit. fig. 2 The soul, spirit, or very essence (as of an affection or a passion). Ex. jāṇē bhaktīcā ji0 || tōci daivācā putaḷā ||. 3 Capacity, mental reach or power. Ex. mulācā ji0 pāhūna adhyayana sāṅgā. 4 Concern for; carefulness about; engagedness of heart and affection towards.
