Jinaprabhasūri (जिनप्रभसूरि) is the author of the Padmāvatīcaupaī (dealing with early teachers, Gods or Goddesses), which is included in the collection of manuscripts at the ‘Vincenzo Joppi’ library, collected by Luigi Pio Tessitori during his visit to Rajasthan between 1914 and 1919.—[...] In addition, Padmāvatī had a direct link with the Jinaprabhasūri’s life. According to some later stories, he was discovered as the successor of Jinasiṃhasūri thanks to her help. She also protected him against courtiers’ hostile actions at the Sultan’s court (see Vose for more details). Jinasiṃhasūri and Jinaprabhasūri continued the tradition of honouring Padmāvatī and gaining powers illustrated by Jinadattasūri, their famous predecessor in the kharataragaccha.
