Source: archive.org: Vagbhata’s Ashtanga Hridaya Samhita (first 5 chapters)Jaḍatākara (जडताकर) refers to that which is “generative of numbness”, as mentioned in verse 5.27-28 of the Aṣṭāṅgahṛdayasaṃhitā (Sūtrasthāna) by Vāgbhaṭa.—Accordingly, “[...] among the (different kinds of milk [viz., payas]), [...] however, (and) light (is) that of a solid-hoofed animal [viz., aikaśapha]; (it is) eliminative of wind in the extremities, slightly sour and salt, (and) generative of numbness [viz., jaḍatākara]”.
