Hṛdayagranthi (हृदयग्रन्थि).—anything which binds the soul or grieves the heart (as avidyārūpasaṃsāra- bandhana); भिद्यते हृदयग्रन्थिश्छिद्यन्ते सर्वसंशयाः (bhidyate hṛdayagranthiśchidyante sarvasaṃśayāḥ) Muṇd.2.2.8.
