The clouds, the clouds as a revolving mass. 2 A dense body of clouds. 3 fig. A close and heavy fight; a strenuous struggle; an arduous conflict. Ex. hōta yuddhācēṃ gha0 || vīrabhadrēṃ saṃhārilē asura ||. In this sense with or without the word yuddhācā, as in the sense just preceding, with or without pāvasācā. 4 (With jēvaṇā- cā) A sumptuous or profuse entertainment: also with such words as gāṇyācā-nācaṇyācā-khēḷaṇyācā- tamāśācā-lāḍavāñcā-pōḷyācā-tupācā &c. Brisk or tumultuous singing, dancing &c., or overflowing plenty of good eatables, gay spectacles &c. 5 Usedas ad & a In dense masses or heavy torrents--clouds forming or rain falling: close and vehement--fighting: dense, thick, profound, heavy--a forest, foliage, darkness, shade, sleep: exuberant--crops, supplies, eatables: extensive and animated--business, an establishment.
