Source: DDSA: The Molesworth Marathi and English Dictionarydēkhūṃ sakaṇēṃ (देखूं सकणें).—a jealous person). Neg. con. Ex. kōṇhācēṃ kalyāṇa hyālā dēkhūṃ sakata nāhīṃ; patīnēṃ ēkē bāyakōvara viśēṣa prīti kēlī tara dusa- rē bāyakōsa dēkhūṃ sakata nāhīṃ. 2 To regard with envious or evil eye. Ex. jō santāṃ dēkhūṃ na śakē apavitra || tyācē rāgēṃ gīdha phōḍiti nētra. See Prov. xxx. 17. Also sakhā dhāḍilā rāma mājhā vanāsi || na dēkhōṃ śakē tyā jagajjīvanāsī ||.
