ḍavaraṇēṃ (डवरणें).—v i To lower; to swag or hang black and threatening--clouds. Ex. ābhāḷa or pāūsa ḍavaralā. 2 To be covered luxuriantly with foliage, blossoms, fruits, full ears &c. 3 fig. To be studded thickly (with ornaments, pocks, pustules &c.) Ex. caughī kanyā āṇilyā bāhērī || ḍaurilyā vastrāḷaṅkārēṃ ||. 4 To sweat in streams. 5 To get full and large--the belly: or gravid--the womb: also attributively. 6 To look about exploringly or surveyingly--a hovering kite, a scout or emissary, a thief.

ḍavaraṇēṃ (डवरणें).—v c (About Goa &c. Or ḍēvaraṇēṃ) To set down (a load). Used also as s n A raised mass by the wayside to receive carriers' burdens. Note. davaraṇēṃ is the better form.
