Source: academia.edu: Tessitori Collection I (history)Chīpaṇī (छीपणी) refers to one of the five ladies mentioned in the Pañcasahelīdūhā by Chīhala (classified as Rajasthani literature), which is included in the collection of manuscripts at the ‘Vincenzo Joppi’ library, collected by Luigi Pio Tessitori during his visit to Rajasthan between 1914 and 1919.—The Pañcasahelī-dūhā is a love poem and a classic of Western Indian literature, both Rajasthani and Gujarati. Five ladies describe in turn their condition when, suffering from separation (viraha), they neglect their bodies. And then the joys of reunion. [e.g., Chīpaṇī, the cloth-printer’s wife].
