chaṇachaṇa (छणछण) [or णा, ṇā].—ad Imit. of the sound in issuing or counting rupees: chink! clink! clank! Hence it implies Freely, liberally, lavishly--giving money. Ex. cha0 rupayē dilyāvāñcūna kōṇhī kōṇhācā ōśāḷā hōta nāhīṃ. 2 Imit. also of jingling or tinkling (as of the little bells on the toes).
