Source: DDSA: A practical Hindi-English dictionary1) Bujhanā (बुझना) [Also spelled bujhna]:—(v) to be extinguished; to be quenched; to be put out; to be dejected, to be in low spirits; [bujhā-bujhā sā honā] to be down in the dumps; [bujhe dila kā] down in the mouth, dispirited.
2) Bujhānā (बुझाना):—(v) to extinguish (as [āga]—); to put out (as [diyā]—); to quench (as [pyāsa]—); to slake (as [cūnā]—); to temper by dipping into a solution of poison (as [jahara meṃ—);—,pahelī] to talk in riddles, to speak enigmatically; [bujhā huā] extinguished; dispirited, lifeless, down in the dumps.
3) Būjhanā (बूझना):—(v) to understand; to make out; to solve; to enquire, to ask.
