Source: archive.org: The Indian Buddhist IconographyBuddhabodhiprabhā (बुद्धबोधिप्रभा) or Buddhabodhiprabhāvaśitā refers to one of twelve Vaśitā Goddesses, as commonly depicted in Buddhist Iconography, and mentioned in the 11th-century Niṣpannayogāvalī of Mahāpaṇḍita Abhayākara.—Her Colour is yellow; her Symbol is a discus on banner; she has two arms.—These Vaśitās are collectively taken to be the spiritual daughters of the Dhyāni Buddha Amitābha. The twelve Vaśitā Goddesses [viz., Buddhabodhiprabhā-Vaśitā] are described collectively as two-armed, holding in their right hands the lotus and in the left proudly bearing their special symbols.
Tibetan Buddhism includes schools such as Nyingma, Kadampa, Kagyu and Gelug. Their primary canon of literature is divided in two broad categories: The Kangyur, which consists of Buddha’s words, and the Tengyur, which includes commentaries from various sources. Esotericism and tantra techniques (vajrayāna) are collected indepently.
