Source: DDSA: The Molesworth Marathi and English Dictionarybivalakarī (बिवलकरी).—a (bibalakara Name of a tribe of Brahmans amongst whom originated this style.) Used as an epithet of writing in commendation of its masterliness; as bivalakarī-akṣara-vaḷaṇa-kittā-lihi- ṇēṃ-lēkha-lēkhana. The term designates especially a style of mōḍa writing, in contrad. from janōbā bhaṭṭī. The letters are of smooth and round form. This style is considered inferior to the other, and is the first learned. 2 Applied, with the implication of praise or approval, to behaviour or demeanour.
