Source: Pali Kanon: Pali Proper Names1. Bilalidayaka Thera. An arahant. In the time of Padumuttara Buddha he was an ascetic in the Himalaya and offered the Buddha some bilali tubers. Fifty four kappas ago he was a king called Sumekhali (Ap.i.145) (v.l. Sumelaya). He is probably identical with Kosalavihari Thera. ThagA.i.134f.
2. Bilalidayaka Thera. An arahant. Fifty four kappas ago he gave some bilali tubers to a recluse at the foot of the mountain Romasa. Ap.i.232.
