Bh. on P. I.1.57; (2) an affix applied for the formation of a word in the sense of verbal activity; cf. प्रयतनं प्रयत्नः । प्रपूर्वाद्यततेर्भा-वसाधनो नङ् प्रत्ययः (prayatanaṃ prayatnaḥ | prapūrvādyataterbhā-vasādhano naṅ pratyayaḥ) M.
