Source: academia.edu: Tessitori Collection I (ayurveda)Ānandakavi (आनन्दकवि) is the author of the Kokasāra (dealing with Poetics and Erotics), which is included in the collection of manuscripts at the ‘Vincenzo Joppi’ library, collected by Luigi Pio Tessitori during his visit to Rajasthan between 1914 and 1919.—A comparison with the entry in Blumhardt catalogue and the detailed entries in hiralal shows that he is Ānanda Kavi. Friedlander (Wellcome institute) gives the authors as Nanda and Mukunda, two Bhaṭanāgara Kāyasthas from Jagata Kaiṭī, in the Hissar district of Punjab, who were active in the beginning of the 17th century, but this seems to apply to a different version. Anyway, the work is not fully fixed. it is complete in 15 sections, but they are not all numbered systematically (neither here nor in other manuscripts). The sequence of verses may vary as well.
Āyurveda (आयुर्वेद, ayurveda) is a branch of Indian science dealing with medicine, herbalism, taxology, anatomy, surgery, alchemy and related topics. Traditional practice of Āyurveda in ancient India dates back to at least the first millenium BC. Literature is commonly written in Sanskrit using various poetic metres.
