Source: DDSA: The Molesworth Marathi and English Dictionaryaḍapajhaḍapa (अडपझडप).—ad (A formation either fanciful or by reduplication from jhaḍapa A stoop, swoop, pouncing upon.) By force or fraud or by fair means; by hook or by crook; through countless and endless means and ways--gains, pickings, pilferings &c. (This seems the proper signification; but the popular acceptations are, as is usual with words of imitative or fanciful formation, capricious and licentious to the uttermost. Some of the most common are inserted.) Slily, clandestinely, in huggermugger;--used particularly of fornication and peculation. In the applications following the word is used adjectively. Indirect, incidental, indeterminate, extra--profits, expenses: minor, petty, by--works, jobs: miscellaneous, unclassified, non-descript--things, traps: of no note or name; of the herd or multitude--persons.
