Abhivṛt (अभिवृत्).—move or turn towards ([accusative] or [adverb] in tas), rise, appear, take place; approach, advance (as friend or foe), meet, encounter, attack, conquer.

Abhīvṛt (अभीवृत्):—[tatpurusha compound] m. f. n. (-t-t-t) (ved.) Going or being, everywhere; e. g. Ṛgv.: abhīvṛtaṃ kṛśanairviśvarūpaṃ hiraṇyaśamyaṃ yajato bṛhantam . āsthādrathaṃ savitā… (Sāyaṇa: = abhito vartamānam). E. vṛt with abhi, kṛt aff. kvip, with the second syllable protracted; comp. the preceding.
